Truly a gift from ‘heaven’… This is so beautiful, uplifting, pure, energetic, dynamic and harmonic that this composition can only arise from a good soul. The sound of the mandolin truly gives a magic touch to these songs…

There are 11 tracks on the album Geografias by Júlio Pereira (iTunes link) and they are all just terrific. For me personally there is only one song that just doesn’t resonate with me perfectly, but everything else is just 10/10.

They call this war a cloud over the land. But they made the weather and then they stand in the rain and say: ‘Shit, it’s raining!’

When I heard this phrase in the movie Cold Mountain, desperately shouted by (character) Ruby Thewes, I literally got shivers.
